Supporting parents in finding resilience, grace and confidence during life in quarantine.

Thinking about it may give you cold sweats. But…

A new school year is upon us and it’s… a hot mess. As if “being a parent” wasn’t enough to keep us busy, we also need to master navigating a pandemic, meeting deadlines at work, and now teaching our kids. This year may feel like groundhog day, each day eerily similar to the last.

Does this look familiar?

  • Endless snacks to fill hungry kid bellies

  • Yoga pants without a drop of sweat on them, because you can’t squeeze in a workout

  • Another pillow or blanket fort swallowing your entire living room for days

  • Sibling squabbles echoing through the house before 8am

  • Screens, screen, screens, SCREAMS!

It’s exhausting.

Be honest with me: Do you need a second? Do you need guidance? Are you, like me, wasting your precious energy wondering if you’re royally screwing up your kiddo’s education? Maybe by this point you’re feeling burned out or numb to all of the challenges this year has thrown at you and the ceaseless requests from the little ones.
I don’t blame you.

As we begin yet another round of distance learning, another daily argument with the kids and another shot of caffeine to get through it all, the Pandemic Parenting Survival Summit is here for YOU. The Pandemic Parenting Survival Summit is here to remind you that you’re worthy of care.

You may be aching from all of the challenges this year has thrown at you. But despite the circumstances, you need to know that you still matter as a parent and a human. You do.

So, how would you like to wrap up this year feeling confident - or at least hopeful - about your parenting and the schooling decisions you’ve made for your kids?

Over September 19-20, we’ll hear from coaches, parents and professionals who truly get you and the struggle. They’ll guide you through the important inner work that is essential for you to grow and thrive as a parent, and be the hero your child already sees in you.

Stacy Claxton, Functional medicine/TRANSFORMATIONal coach

If you’re living on the verge of mental and physical fatigue, saying, “Just tell me when it’s over!” then it’s time to commit to self-care. Simply showing up as a parent requires you to take care of yourself.

Stacy will teach you how to acknowledge the big emotions that can overwhelm us. Through Tapping, also known as Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) you will learn how to quickly shift your body from fear and isolation to safety and connection. By using your fingertips to stimulate the body’s energy meridians, you will be able to:

  • Calm down the nervous system

  • Allow safe access to emotions

  • Restore proper energy flow

  • Activate the immune system

  • Rewire the brain for lasting change

Greg+2.jpg

Greg Struve, MA, LPC, SEP

This year has been filled with changes, and it can be uncomfortable to redefine your identity around a new normal. Anxiety specialist Greg is here to remind us that grief is a normal response to change. Despite the fact that we all feel grief at some point, we as a society tend to not talk about it. As a result, we have very few tools to deal with it, especially in isolation.

Greg will help you identify the root problem of the emotions you’ve been feeling and provide you with the tools you need to come out better on the other side. He’ll also discuss which area of attachment parenting you should focus on to reap the best rewards in your relationship with your kids.

“I started the PG-ish podcast because I needed a resource to help myself grow, not only as a parent, but as a woman navigating life as a single parent and sole breadwinner. The challenges seemed endless and overwhelming, with little to no time to intentionally focus on my kids. I didn’t like who I was and where I was going. I needed to take a step back to reevaluate my values and recalibrate who I wanted to be, so that I wouldn’t regret those childhood years with my daughters.

Now more than ever, I’m thankful I started this journey to help myself and others thrive. It’s a crazy time, I know, but it’s also so valuable. We can be frustrated at the state of things, or we can transform this into something meaningful for our families. We may never have another time like this, spent in such close proximity to our kids.”

Erin Holland, Host of PG-ish

“As a parent myself I can really appreciate everything you are doing here, thank you!” - podcast listener, parent
