As our kids continue to grow up in a society ruled by screens and social media, their ability to relate, converse, and have real relationships has sadly suffered. Sherry Turkle, a professor at MIT, a clinical psychologist, and an expert on culture, social networking, and people’s relationships with technology, outlines the small steps we can take to teach our kids real-life values—including solitude, conversation, and really listening to each other.
