088. Childhood defines adult mental health, featuring Lael Stone
Full transparency… My home is not always filled with “Insta-perfect” happy smiles. Three girls living together creates plenty of drama - and we haven’t even hit the teenage years! But I’m learning that as the parent, I set the example of how to regulate and respond to emotions in a helpful way.
How you respond to your children’s feelings has the potential to propagate anxiety and depression, or kindness and compassion.
Today’s clip with Lael Stone nudges you to listen and care, reminding you that your parenting leaves imprints on your kids’ adult mental health. It’s about how you create a safe place for your children to feel, to process, and to learn.
